Attendance Criterion

Hahahaha ! I never even knew that there existed some such community regarding attendance in NM. Can't be anyone from my batch 'cuz we all generally tend to have much lower attendance. Just check, mate.......there is a Commerce college called NM also, which is run by the same Trust.....its must be by them.

Vaise, at NM, technically speaking, 80% attendance is reqd. However, as long as u maintain a 60% min. attendance level, tnings should work out fine with you. It all depends on the teacher yaar. If he/she is strict abt. attendance, attend their classes regularly or u risk being even failed by the professor.....or not get good grades. However, if the lecturer is cool abt. the entire affair, then u guys can chill out a bit

In the past two years there has been a lot of hue and cry about attendance. The college tried to implement an online attendance system which was a disaster thanks to the IT illiteracy of most of the faculty(yes, this is true, even in a B-School like NMIMS we have faculty that is computer illiterate). Anyway the system itself was not sound.

But I myself led the implementation of the Knowledge Management System which was done last year. The online attendance system is a part of this system and would probably be brought back once the bugs are sorted out.

Anyway coming back to attendance, three of my batch mates flunked in some subjects in the last trimester because of grade reduction due to attendance problems. So just be cautious in the first two trimesters and test the waters before diving ;)
