Gyms

The gym closest to the college is pace fitness (my ex-gym). The college has started its own fundoo gym at D J Sanghvi engg. college premises.....cost is approx. same as Pace, but the equipments are much better. Pace is decent. The D J Sanghvi college gym (meant only for SVKM-operated institutions' staff & students) is just a 5 min. walk from Pace.....and Pace is a 10 min from NMIMS....all in the same direction. Cost approx. 4k-5k for 6 months...don't quote me on that though.

There's another called "Knight's gym" & "fitness planet" ....both near girls' hostel....former has charges around 3k-4k. latter has approx. similar charges as Pace.....or perhaps a tad more as the equipment is mucho better ! Both are pretty decent gyms.

Then we also have Power House (@ Juhu circle......15 min. auto ride from college) & Talwalkars (near juhu circle)....both are a bit more "trendier" gyms and are costly. Talwalkar, for e.g., charges 7k for 3 months.

Then we have zaf fitness, which is like a stone's throw away from Sai suraj....pretty good gym & good deals too. Sadly, too far from my abode (G R Jani)

Mostly all the gyms are open continuously, on an avg., bet. 6am to 10 pm on weekdays & upto 2pm on Sundays EXCEPT The SVKM gym, which has limited timings. All gyms are unisex BTW.

Gals have a mini gym at thier hostel, if i ain't wrong.

There is a mini-gym at G R Jani as well. Albeit, in a dilapidated condition. Don't know why Deven didn't mention that.

And he isn't wrong about the gym in the girl's hostel. The news is they are also adding a Pool table there.
