well nikhil tellin u frankly laterals at NM do not have a big advantage over the normal placements.... the profiles are more or less the same...the only thing is that a couple of companies ( dont rem which ones) come only for the laterals and the laterals will have salary packages a little bit more then u ( not much mind u) and they will get placed earlier..rest all is more or less the same if u talk about the profile and all....sometimes the companies coming for laterals also ask for c.v's from non lateral students..
regardin ur 15 months work ex..it will definately matter and more so if ur taking up marketing as ur major.... so no need to worry about that
