Yeah ! "Density" of the rooms (# of ppl in a room) is a bit too much at Jani. The rooms out here are very comfortable for 2 people.....decent for 3 people.....but 4 is like stretching things a bit too far. Its just manageable. U guys need to adjust a bit.....which i'm sure U will, after coupla months. In fact, till OUR Seniors' batch, hostel fees paid in the 1st year was the same that was supposed to be paid in the 2nd year as well. From our batch onwards, they increased the fees in the 2nd year & vis-a-vis the facilities provided (esp. at the boys' hostels/flats), the increase just didn't match up. That's why most of my batch mates moved out in droves. U'd hardly find any senior (my batch mates) in the hostels or flats.
Luggage can be put on top of the shelves and/or below the bed. There is no separate luggage area provided for the same. Guys in the flats also have similar arrangements.
And its perfectly fine bringing food from outside to the hostel. That was allowed at least till our batch & I don't think that would change with you guys.
