Even though the schedule i told u is 9-4, classes might even happen before or after that. of course, chances of classes getting cancelled and being re-conducted later are much more than classes being held before 9.
After ur day is over (whenever it is), its all on YOU how u spend ur time. You really need to be focussed man. Mumbai is a city of EVERYTHING & its pretty easy to be swayed by its culture & openness & ur new-found freedom (ESP. if u r a 1st time hostelite). Not to sound preachy.....joy this city. There is no other city like tis in India...trust me ! At the same time, keep an eye on what u have come here for too.
Ideally speaking, try to finish ur assignments & projects as soon as possible. Don't keep everything piled up for the last moment. If that happens, then u guys are gonna live the proverbial B-school life here too.....of 3-4 hrs. sleep/day, during the latter half of the trimester. Its easier said than done guys....speaking from personal experience. Most of my classmates & batch mates kept all their projects hanging till the last mo in the 1st trimester....and had to suffer sleepless nites during that time.
If u do ur projects etc. on time, u'd get enuff time for extra curric. activities as well. Baanki, it all depends on you....how u spend your time.
Even though it mentions practically no hols between 2 trimesters, usually students take a week off & lecturers are kinda used to it.....some people take even more than a week off. By thumb rule, the 1st 15 days of the trimester are generally "holiday time" for students, esp. those coming from far off & R home-sick. However, officially speaking, only 1-2 days gap is allowed.
The trimester-wise schedule should be available on the website of the college and/or in the brochure.
Ur summer internship process would start from august....companies would start coming from august 2007 itself & would continue to come till mar-apr. 2008.
Bike & car parking is available in the lane immediately behind NMIMS. Most of the students come in modes of tgransport, oher than bikes & cars. Even amongst the latter category, its mostly ppl coming in bikes. I think hardly 0.1% of the total NM junta (students only) comes in cars. Not too sure where they park the car. For faculty, they provide space within the campus.

Cars are parked in the vicinity of the college. It is a residential area... find a place in front of someone's home.
