The Public Transportation is THE BEST in India mate ! U'd get "pampered" by the folks here :-) The auto rickshaw fellas actually pay u Re. 1/- back, when its min. fare (Rs. 9) & u give a 10 buck note !!! :-) They usually never say "no" to go to places & are pretty honest as far as fares are concerned.
The buses are also very good.......and the local trains are supposed to be the best (i'm a local train freak). Buses may get stuck in traffic jams, but locals would deifnetly make u reach ur destination within a reasonable time.
Yes ! there are times when the buses & trains would be full....these are usually during morning & evening hours when people are going to & returning (respectively) from their offices. As such dude, u wouldn't require to go too far everytime....it'd be rare. I agree with Sameer regarding teh transport & the bike issue. U want more freedom, u can get a bike.....most of the people do well without additional trasportation.

ReplyDeleteThe idea behind this blog itself is to avoid the need for Ctrl C + V in the future. Will be putting stuff here in a sensible and organised manner so that it is useful for the future batches.
